I am from and still live in Dublin, although I have been lucky enough to travel quite extensively. I've lived for short periods in Australia and the United States and have worked in France, Sweden, Germany, Spain and the UK.

I am (a quite inactive) member of the DCU Canoe Club -- see the link above -- and have played in a number of exciting Canoe Polo tournaments. I am probably now best described as a social member and also what they call an OFB. Until I left DCU, I was probably the student with the longest membership.

I also play poker and football. Mostly I play football with the DCU engineering department in DCU in the park -- although not very well. I don't play poker on-line, only with friends for small sums of money. I remember a line in the Westwing when one of the characters pointed out that poker is meant to be be about the beer and chips.

I have also just completed my Doctorate, so am now Dr. James Noonan.
