The Performance Engineering Laboratory (PEL) at DCU aims at developing performance-based solutions for next generation information and communication technology (ICT) systems.

The Research carried out in the group reflects the synergy between electronics, informatics and software engineering in the development of ICT in the 21st century.

Research Specialization:

►  Development of multimedia and hypermedia based e/m-learning systems.

►  Quality-oriented interactive mechanism for real-time multimedia streaming and video-on-demand in 4G wireless  networks.

►  Seamless user-centric handover mechanism for next generation heterogeneous wireless networks.

Significantly , PEL is a trans-university research group and is spread across Dublin City University and University College Dublin.
